The SoundTrack to Your Life

I sing all of the time, and I mean all of the time. I have been known to wake up singing. I sing around my house, in the car, in elevators, and at work. I grew up singing, and I love to sing. Like laughter, singing lifts my spirits. There is a definite soundtrack to my life. I don’t know if I have told you before that I’m a PK, a preacher’s kid and I love gospel music.

The song that’s in my head right now is Encourage Yourself.

These are the lyrics:

Sometimes you have to encourage yourself
Sometimes you have to speak victory during the test
And no matter how you feel
Speak the word, and you will be healed
Speak over yourself, encourage yourself in the Lord

Sometimes you have to speak the word over yourself
The pressure is all around but God is present help
The enemy created walls but remember giants, they do fall
Speak over yourself, encourage yourself in the Lord

I before last week, I had never heard of the song, and now I can’t get it out my head. I could do worse, right? Do you love music? Do you sing? What is the soundtrack of your life? When you start to notice what you’re noticing it will help you to be mindful of the messages processing in your mind.

So if you are looking for love, listening to “love gone wrong songs” most likely will not help you find the love you seek.

Do you surround yourself with happy people? Or do you spend your time commiserating with your friends?

I like to spend my time with people that challenge me and help me be a better, stronger version of myself.

So check yourself, what is the soundtrack of your life?
What is the song on repeat on your playlist?
Do you have a favorite work out song?
